Hi, I’m Sylvie, the artist behind Possum Art.
I create comics that span both fiction and non-fiction, including memoir pieces that explore memory, identity, and emotion. My style is loose, alternative, and proudly indie — influenced by the kind of graphic storytelling I grew up with in France, and expanded over the years to include manga and American graphic memoirs.
I’ve always drawn. Comics and illustrated books were part of my life from the start, and making art has always been the way I process the world — sometimes with humor, sometimes with discomfort, always with curiosity.
On this site, you’ll find more than just comics. I also share my other creative pursuits, including photography and amigurumi (crocheted plush figures). For me, these practices are all connected: they’re different ways of capturing feeling, texture, and story.
